Before I Sleep
This is one of my favourite paintings to date. Her body language suggests quiet confidence and tranquil contemplation, the layers of sheer fabrics creating a captivating dance of transparency, next to skin. I enjoy using subtle colour and texture to breath life into the sheer fabrics, lending them a luminous quality that seems to glow from within. Every brushstroke subtly captures the interplay between light and shadow, exposing the vulnerable yet empowered essence of the woman. I want the viewer to become an intimate observer, drawn into a moment frozen in time, lost in the beauty and complexity of the figure. I want to celebrate the inherent strength and grace that lie within every woman, reminding us of the profound beauty that can be discovered in moments of quiet reflection.
